ABOUT ME

Thanks for stopping by.

Iā€™m a writer and editor living in New York.

My story collection IF THE BODY ALLOWS IT (University of Nebraska Press) was awarded the 2019 Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction and longlisted for the Story Prize and the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize.

My debut novel AEROSOL is forthcoming from Ballantine.

My work has also appeared in A Public Space, Guernica, One Teen Story, Ninth Letter, Okey-Panky, and elsewhere.

For a long time I was the managing editor of the literary magazine A Public Space. Now, I edit at Public Books, a magazine of arts, ideas, and scholarship.
